Per Michigan State Law, all dogs four months or older are required to be licensed. To obtain a license, a current rabies vaccination certificate signed by the veterinarian is needed. Dog License Fees vary based on whether the animal is spayed or neutered, and there is a discount for senior citizens for purchases on June 1st or before.
The last day to purchase a dog license at Village Hall for the non-delinquent fee is June 1st.
Licenses can be purchased at Village Hall at 21 E. Church Street on weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm or at Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center, 1200 N. Telegraph, Building 42E, Pontiac or online at https://www.oakgov.com/petadoption/.
